A Hero Murdered in Honduras!

We recieved this update from our denominational offices in Cleveland, TN. today.  I am saddened by the informationi.  A Church of God pastor became a martyr for Christ on April 3. Please read this article and then I want to make some personal comments.

A Church of God woman pastor in the city of Choloma, Honduras, was murdered on Thursday, April 3, by two young gang members who had earlier demanded “protection tax” to keep church members safe from their attacks.

Maria Francisca Sevilla, 39, the mother of three children, was co-pastor with her husband, Geovanny, of a church in this third largest city of the nation. According to police reports, she was surprised in her home by her attackers when she returned from taking one of her children to an afternoon school session. The pastoral residence is attached to the church building. She was stabbed repeatedly, fighting against her assailants and calling for help, but she died in the church doorway before help arrived.

Police learned that a year ago gang members had extorted money from the pair, threatening to harm the children and the church members if payment was not made. It is not known if subsequent demands were made, but in November 2013, the pastoral couple and one of their children were kidnapped, beaten, and dumped in a drainage ditch in San Pedro Sula, about 15 miles from their home. On yet another occasion, the husband was attacked, tied up and left in his vehicle, which the gang intended to burn; however, police patrolling the area arrived in time to rescue him.

“This dedicated couple, who ministered in their church for 10 years, could have moved away for safety, according to what I have been told, but they felt called to the city, and they remained even though they were in danger,” said Tim Hill, director of Church of God World Missions. Despite repeated threats and attacks, they continued their evangelistic efforts.

Besides being the economic capital, San Pedro Sula has the country’s highest homicide rate, this in a nation of 8 million that averages 20 murders daily. In a study of 50 cities worldwide, it registered as the deadliest, leading many to describe San Pedro Sula as the murder capital of the world. Choloma is a 20-minute drive away.

In a recent Los Angeles Times article, it was reported that Honduran cities are overrun by rival gangs. “The gangs charge what residents call a ‘war tax,’ extorted from homes and businesses, down to the smallest fruit vendor. You don’t pay, you get out. This breaks my heart and I am grieved tonight for this precious pastor’s family.  In my mind, she is a hero.  Maria Francisca Sevilla preached the gospel in a region that threats against her life were the norm.  But she didn’t stop.  Thugs who threatened her previously obviously returned to murder her.  The thugs, gang members at large, are weak boys trying to be want-to-be men.  To wait for Maria to come home and attack a woman is the lowest.  These two gang members represent lawlessness that is spreading across the world.  Lawlessness that seems to be void of any conviction for life and respect for God and His representatives.  Maria leaves behind three children and a husband.  Three precious children lost their mother due to the uncontrolled hatred in the heart of these lawless gang members.  I am infuriated at this!  It seems to me that more could be done by governing officials any where in the world to stop this kind of activity.   This is a quote from Bishop Tim Hill who commented above: Besides being the economic capital, San Pedro Sula has the country’s highest homicide rate, this in a nation of 8 million that averages 20 murders daily. This kind of activity goes on everyday in nations all over the world.  Goverments, including the USA, have decided that the criminal has more rights than the victims they violate with their venomous hatred of life, authority and God.   This is domestic terrorism.   Yes.  You read correct.  Any time a government turns its back on Godliness and accepts lawlessness as the norm for governing criminals – we hand title deed to morality over to Satan himself.  At the root of home grown terrorism is the lawlessness we refuse to keep in check.  Drug trafficing, human trafficing, theft, gang violence and mob type groups will bring a nation to its knees.  From Chicago to New York City to Detroit to Columbus to Dallas to Las Angelos to Miami – if we don’t get a handle on this type of thuggery – we will hand out cities over to these gangs for long term and predictable unrepairable damage to our communities.  What happened in Honduras with Pastor Maria Francisca Sevilla is a disgrace.  Any man or group of men who attack an innocent, harmless, unarmed woman and beat her to death are not men in my opinion.  They are void of human definition.  They are animals (2 Peter 2.12).  They need to be locked up and someone needs to throw away the key.  I understand that grace and mercy are afforded them by God through Christ Jesus.  I can only hope they find it before or in prison but they still need to be held accountable for their actions.   They need not be on the streets.  These men are reprobates according to Romans 1.   They need to be treated like reprobates.  They are godless and spineless excuses for human beings. They obviously have no control over their behavior.  

I urge you to pray for Maria’s family.  Tonight her husband is consoling their children.  Explaining to them why these godless men took the life of their mother.  Grief is something that shouldn’t have to be explained to children – especially in relation to the unexcused murder of their mother.  

Scripture declares in 2 Timothy 3:12-13 Indeed, all who desire to live godly in Christ Jesus will be persecuted. (13) But evil men and impostors will proceed from bad to worse, deceiving and being deceived.   Maria, her husband and their children committed to godliness.  As a result Maria paid the highest price for serving Christ.  So did her husband and their three children.  I can’t even imagine what they’re going through.  I am confident their church family is supporting them but the grief of a useless murder is more than likely overwhelming.

In the Western church we can’t identify with this kind of violent persecution…at least yet.  But this godliness and lawlessness is spreading like wild fire.  In the western mind-set of Christianity we cower and cringe at the least offense. In other parts of the world Christians don’t worry about getting their feelings hurt.  They tend to lean more toward a more mature connection to Christ.  They tend to worry about losing their life.  This should make us all stop and think about heros like Maria and what she gave just to preach the gospel.  In my opinion she is one those heroes akin to Hebrews 11.  I can’t, but if I could I would include Maria’s name in Hebrews 11.32.  Heaven welcomed a hero with Maria’s death.  The Holy Spirit went to work as only the Comforter can when the kingdom lost Maria.  I pray the family survive this tragedy and her work as a pastor continues without hesitation.    May the Christians in Honduras be blessed, highly favored and spiritually prospered in the Name of Jesus Christ.   March on holy warriors, march on!

Noah! To See or Not To See?

I haven’t seen the Russel Crow movie, “Noah,” yet. I am not sure I will to honest about it. I mean, there is no real tug at my heart to run out and stand in line to see the movie. I will probably eventually see it but that’s not what my blog is about.

This is not Hollywood’s first rodeo at bringing Holy Writ to the ever so present “talking movie sets” we enjoy today. In 1956 several celebrity status actors brought us “The Ten Commandments”. You remember either seeing the original (produced before I was even born) or even the countless times it has shown on television. Remember these names: Charlton Heston, Yul Brynner, Anne Baxter, Edward G. Robinson? Even then there was the added drama to make the movie something that Christians would find entertaining enough to watch. After all, even with the advancement of props, technology and better trained actors – we need some high tech drama to make any Christian film interesting or entertaining in today’s culture.   But is that what we have done?  Have we so surrendered to Hollywood for entertainment that we think it’s divinely inspirational for someone like Aronofsky to produce a movie based on a Bible character?  Not sure but someone told me Aronofsky is an athiest and from several interviews he’s given – I’m going to say he’s as close as you will get to a “Godless” man.  What’s wrong with this picture?

I think what we have done is we have attempted to take holiness and righteousness to Hollywood and ask their assistance with making the Bible “come to life.”   Our culture of entertainement, fast paced electronic gaming and illiteracy handicapped society finds instant gratification in entertaiment that images Christian themes – its teh path of least resistance for many.  After all, why read Scriptures when you have Aronofsky and Crowe?   Again, I’m not against movies being made about Christian theology, ideology and just plain ol’ life-ology. When you compare Charleston Heston’s “Ten Commandments” with Crowe’s “Noah” there is obviously a vast difference in how the movies were made and what they pretend to portray. Let’s toast to the increase of human intelligence!   Noah’s trailers set us up for some mind boggling screen shots.  Fasten your seat belts!

While we have advanced our ability to produce movies, pick celebrities to play the characters and pour millions into the actual production of Hollywood based “Christian” movies – are we advancing the Kingdom of God at all?  Settle down! I am smart enough to know that we can’t leave Hollywood the task of evangelizing the nations. They really wouldn’t know where to begin unless they had a make up artist and two or three contract agents to help them finalize their plans.

What we cannot afford to do as believers is sit back and come to some possessed idea that since Hollywood has gotten on the bandwagon of producing “Christian themed” movies – is sit back, wait till it comes out on DVD, run to Wal-Mart and buy it, schedule a night at our church to show it and then give an altar call – and call it evangelism.  Won’t work. Wasn’t intended to be that way. I doubt anyone ever assumed they would have to credential Charleston Heston as an evangelist anymore than we would make the same consideration for Mr. Crowe. Hollywood does not within itself make up one of the five fold gifts to the church – evangelist. That task, as difficult and inconvenient as it is today, was left up to us.

What we are coming close to doing is trading evangelism for entertainment. If I’m right about this, the weakened Western church will fall even shorter on her task of reaching people for the kingdom of God.  Movies don’t lead people to Jesus. People lead people to Jesus.  That’s the way the Author and Finisher of our faith intended it to be.

If I see Noah it will be for the sake of pure entertainment. But then again Frozen will run so close in capturing my entertainment window that I’m not sure which one will win out. Besides, there’s the production of “God’s Not Dead” that runs closer to pure intentions than Darren Aronofsky’s “Noah” ever has.

Stop calling me names.   Settle down.   Be careful what you say.   See you at the movies!  Popcorn anyone?

World Vision’s Reversal of an Insane Decision

I teach an adult Bible class on Wednesday night at Victory Hill Church, Lancaster, OH (www.victoryhill.org). Our subject for the last few weeks has been “What is a Christian?” It has been engaging and challenging to say the least.

We have been targeting the tension in scripture between those of an opposing culture and that of the faith community – the real faith community. When I say “real” I mean that community that pursues Christ as Savior and Lord of their life and tries with all of their might to live a Godly life that testifies of His Lordship. Last week we reviewed an article in Charisma magazine about two lesbians who visited a church with the goal of seeing how the church would respond. The end result is that one of the girls actually committed her life to Christ and is now actively engaged in leadership in the church.

Tonight we went further in to our study by reading Romans chapter one and discussing what a reprobate is. Before we actually looked at Romans one we discussed the news of our day (3.26.14) about World Visions decision to allow their ministry to welcome homosexual marriages as long as the partners were “faithful.” This public announcement by WV obviously went viral immediately. I was appalled at WV’s decision. I couldn’t really believe it when I read it the first time on line. Several thousand people, in response to the announcement, pulled their support. Good for them. They did the right thing. All the good that WV has done didn’t justify the sin of this corporate decision that according to several articles took them “over two years to make.” Seriously? Two years to dismantle a very clear fact in scripture – homosexuality is sin. Pure and simple. No debate necessary. This one is non-negotiable. One look at Romans chapter one will clearly show Holy Writ places this perversion of humanity.

When I got home and started to catch some of the blogs I read it seems that WV has changed their mind. Wow! That was fast. I saw several blogs and postings that shared the letter written by World Vision’s president Richard Stearns. You can read more about the reversal in a well written article titled “ World Vision Reverses Decision on Gay Married Employees: We Made a Mistake” at christianpost.com.

Here are some quotes from the letter which has appeared on several sights:

  • The board acknowledged they made a mistake and chose to revert to our longstanding conduct policy requiring sexual abstinence for all single employees and faithfulness within the Biblical covenant of marriage between a man and a woman.
  • We have listened to you and want to say thank you and to humbly ask for your forgiveness.
  • In our board’s effort to unite around the church’s shared mission to serve the poor in the name of Christ, we failed to be consistent with World Vision U.S.’s commitment to the traditional understanding of Biblical marriage and our own Statement of Faith, which says, ” We believe the Bible to be the inspired, the only infallible, authoritative Word of God.”
  • We commit to you that we will continue to listen to the wise counsel of Christian brothers and sisters, and we will reach out to key partners in the weeks ahead.

I’m aware that this decision will be criticized by thousands of people. Both decisions. The original decision and the follow up decision. I am really impressed with the fact that they claimed Matthew 18 in coming to the church at large and asking for forgiveness. Right thing to do when you have made such an incredibly insane decision in the first place.

Now for my two cents worth on the entire issue. Thankfully, WV came to their senses. The “prodigal” came back to the house. Literally. Thank God for this. Here are my bullet point criticisms.

  • The original decision was lauded as one of intense research and study – that took WV over two years to reach. My advice? Find some new advisors. This sheds light on the fact that you can be extremely influenced by those who find truth in unrighteousness. Romans 1:18 For the wrath of God is revealed from heaven against all ungodliness and unrighteousness of men who suppress the truth in unrighteousness,
  • I appreciate the fact they have asked for forgiveness. But I did notice that this letter covers only the United States World Vision offices. I may be speaking out of line here but what about other countries? Does WV’s reversal on this cover other countries or are they exempt and allowed to entertain homosexual relationships? Just a thought.
  • I appreciate the fact that WV is willing to “listen to wise counsel of Christian brothers and sisters”. My point is that they declared they did this for their original decision. I’m confused here. How does a global organization with this much influence and weight make this kind of insane doctrinal mistake? Am I missing something here? They sought counsel and advise from “Christians” and academicians. It’s hard for me to accept a deep sense of recognizing the error of their ways when they sought spiritual advise in the first place. I am more convinced, as some of you are, that this decision was purely a financial decision. Bottom line is money. With their initial decision they immediately were made aware of how much money they were going to lose. The same board that took two years to make this asinine decision reversed in just hours. Incredibly amazing!

It’s obvious that someone forgot WV’s driving vision statement about the integrity and “infallibility” of scripture. Now this is where the president and board need a refresher course on their own vision and mission statements. Seriously!

I am not a perfect man. There is no such thing. There is not a perfect organization out there…anywhere. The church at large has made some very stupid decisions and will continue to do so. But one thing is for sure – there are organizations that will not compromise the integrity of Holy Writ – for any purpose. Mistakes are made everyday – but to reject or dismiss something so clear and defining as homosexuality being a sin – is insane at best.  WV should sit back and take a long look at their purpose of existence. Their board should be made to review their mission statements – and memorize it.


In a day when the church at large is being placed under a microscope for just about anything we do or believe in – what we didn’t need was this fiasco with World Vision. James reminds us that a double minded man is unstable.  There is instablity WV’s leadership.  It needs to be addressed before WV’s supporters are faced with this issue again.   There is an opposing culture out there that has obviously found its way into the church. In far too many places scripture has been compromised for the sake of numbers and satisfying “itching ears”. On behalf of the church at large – God forgive us.  Let’s get back to calling sin what it is – sin. Let’s create organizations that should never have to seek forgiveness for weakening the stand of scripture – regardless of who the scriptures offend.  Holy Writ cannot be compromised for any purpose – not even an opposing culture of homosexuality.  If you are a homosexual and you can’t handle Truth in love and forgiveness – you may have a deeper sin issue.

I am not an advocate of mistreating anyone who chooses to live a lifestyle in opposition to true holiness.  Jesus gave us clear instructions as to how to love and treat others – even if they wind up being our enemy.  I am opposed to sin – even the sin of homosexuality. There is forgiveness for this sin as much as any other sin. The cross covered all sin. We don’t need a gallon of the blood of Jesus for homosexuality and half a gallon for any other sin. Sin is sin. Homosexuality if offensive to God in that it is a perversion of His creation. It doesn’t take a rocket scientist to see that the male and female were created differently but yet so designed that they can procreate. Men with men and women with women cannot “naturally” procreate anything – they can only pervert a divine act.

There is a covenant issue at stake here. Marriage is an act of covenant. Homosexuality destroys the very first covenant act created by God. It sidesteps the blood covenant between a man and a woman. It rejects the marriage covenant. It despises the marriage covenant. Anyone engaged in a homosexual relationship is by their behavior rejecting Truth and what He stands for.  

There is hope and there is help. Jesus shed His blood for all sinners. I close this rambling text tonight by reminding the readers that “He is faithful and just to forgive us.” He waits for all to come to Him.

1 John 1:9-10 If we confess our sins, He is faithful and righteous to forgive us our sins and to cleanse us from all unrighteousness.           (10) If we say that we have not sinned, we make Him a liar and His word is not in us.

I pray that World Vision has come to their senses and will stay on track with their mission and purpose. Millions of hungry children depend on their ministry.  I pray that they never again justify sin by all they do that’s good.

Naked Exorcists

This evening we had a guest speaker for our student ministries service.  He did a great job and I was moved by his message and altar call.   He spoke on the seven sons of Sceva from the book of Acts 19.11-21.   After I got home tonight I looked at that passage again.  I have some points of interest I would like to make about that event.

When these sons of Sceva (Sceva was probably a member of the Sanhedin court but not necessarily a high priest in the temple or his sons wouldn’t have been “wanderers”) attempted to use the name of Jesus instead of the normal charms and incantations they were used to using – they ran into a problem.  The demon spoke to them and said, “I recognize Jesus, I know Paul, but who are you?” (vs.15).   Something crossed my mind when I read this.

If demons don’t know our names, aren’t familiar with our spiritual strength as a threat to their kingdom – we may have an identity crisis.   Now I know that not everyone believes in the demonic.  I recognize that not everyone will have to deal with a demoniac….ever.   I understand that some struggle with “entry level” spiritual warfare much less dealing with casting out a demon from a possessed human being.  But there is a principle to grasp here.

I honestly believe that we have so marketed certain aspects of the kingdom of God that we weaken its influence on our lives.  Such is the issue of spiritual warfare or dealing with the true demonic world out there.  It is real.  In understanding the reality of the demonic we have to ask ourselves does Satan’s kingdom really know I exist as a threat to his dark kingdom?  Does the enemy know my church exists as a threat to his kingdom?  Does the darkness of Satan’s kingdom fear the light of the kingdom of God I represent?  If not, we may have an identification crisis on our hands.  Do I and the church I attend represent a threat to Satan’s kingdom or are we considered nothing less than the dim light of a firefly?

You see to merely claim we know Christ or we attend a church that has a Christian doctrinal foundation is one thing.  To hear the demonic kingdom say something along this line is quite another: “Jesus I know, Paul I know, but who are you?”  The demons didn’t recognize the fraudulent attempt of the use of the name of Jesus!  Why?  Simple.  The demons didn’t recognize the authority of the sons of Sceva.  It was a fradulent attempt to invoke the name of Jesus.

The sons of Sceva assumed that after watching Paul deal with demons (who were abundant in the time of Christ) they could do the same thing.  They were chasing the name of Jesus for the purpose of prosperity – oh my, I can’t beleive I wrote that!   But they were.  They figured they could use the name of Jesus and work it into a profitable exorcists business.  Possibly a franchise!  Licensed exorcists!  Now that’s a novel idea!  Not!   What they didn’t know is it would take a relationship with Christ to do what Paul was doing.  They blew it.  The kingdom of Satan was released against them and make a bunch of naked fools out of them.  They learned it wasn’t about just merely using the authority of Jesus – it was knowing Jesus that mattered.

The impact on the Ephesus was incredible.  Word of the event spread like wildfire and folks started bring their magic resources, books, etc andburning them in the town square.   Jesus won.  The Word won.  Light was greater than darkness.  People were confessing their evil ways.  Acts of repentance was visible to all.   And I like what verse twenty says:  “So the word of the Lord was growing mightily and prevailing.”   Two things happened when darkness had to surrender to light.  First, the Word of the grew mightily.  The word grow here is indicative of  increase.  The word mightily here implies might, dominion, or vigor.   What this boils down to is that the Word of God was growing in dominion and might in Ephesus.   This is powerful because Scripture indicates the Word is alive and powerful to the point of separating bone from marrow and the soul from the spirit man.  Incredible!  Here is an instance where we can literally see the increased effect of the Word on a city.

Second, the growing word was a prevailing word.  The indication here is “to have power as shown by extraordinary deeds or to exert strength to overcome.”  When you put all this together to paint a word picture one could say that the event that ended with naked exorcists running around the city actually started a revival.  The Word was growing in dominion, taking authority over places and people possessed with Satan.  The impact was an overcoming impact on the city.

Wouldn’t it be awesome if in our cities the churches could engage the supernatural power of God to the degree that the demonic strongholds of our city would recognize you, your church and the spiritual authority you have as a believer?  Wouldn’t it be incredible if the impact we have on our cities was a growing dominion of power?  A power that expands the kingdom of light in the darkness of our city?

I think we can and should be engaging the Word to a showdown in our cities.  Paul didn’t go looking for a demonic fight.  It found not Paul but the authority that Paul had been using.  You see its not about us engaging darkness on our own.  Its about supernatural confrontation by default.  Just by being a believer filled with the authority of Christ and the power of the Spirit – all by itself will take us to warfare.  The question still remains.   Does hell know we exist?

Serial Threats

An article posted in today’s National Review Online
(FEBRUARY 27, 2014 12:00 AM / Ukraine and Our Useless Outrage / The history of Obama’s foreign-policy posturing bodes ill for the future of Ukraine / By Victor Davis Hanson) that grabbed my political attention. After reading the very well written article that slams the current administrations failure to produce – I was drawn to a spiritual dynamic.

In the article, Mr. Victor Davis Hanson refers to Obama as a man who makes “serial threats” but obviously cannot follow through or chooses not to follow through his threats with force or aggressive action to dissuade our enemies abroad. I don’t want to get into a tit for tat here about Obama – wouldn’t do any good. I will however share some thoughts on the idea of being someone who makes “serial threats” and doesn’t back them up.

I see a spiritual analogy here. I am always impressed with believers who are busy making “decrees and declarations” against the devil. I hear them as they engage “spiritual warfare” for purposes that for the most part may not even be Biblically based. Oh, excuse me. I shouldn’t mention that our prayer lives and our actual engagement of spiritual warfare should certainly be structured in the Word. Heaven forbid I step on the toes of those who are hyper war minded in some type of spiritual realm that doesn’t exist in the first place. I digress.

You have probably come across those religious/spiritual serial threat people in your faith walk. They, like our current political administration, talk a good talk but can’t walk the walk. You eventually stop paying attention to the threats. You accept anything they say as “crying wolf” and totally ignore what they say (sort of like what Putin is doing now in relationship to you know who). Here is some of what I’m referring to:
If Satan comes at me one more time I’m going to…
I am going to tithe my income regardless of what the enemy does to me or my family!
I am going to fast until I hear from God!
I refuse to give in to temptation ever again!
I forgive the person who offended me but they better never hurt me again.
I think you get the idea. We make a lot of spiritual threats that don’t normally hold any weight. I wonder if Satan and his cache of demons on call think of the church today as Putin does America and it’s current presidential team?

Threats. Here is what James said about our ability to make “serial threats”:
James 5:12 But above all, my brethren, do not swear, either by heaven or by earth or with any other oath; but your yes is to be yes, and your no, no, so that you may not fall under judgment.

Oh, I get it now! When we speak something and don’t back up it we will fall under judgment. Interesting! Isn’t that what’s happening in our political arena with Russia and the Ukraine? Isn’t that what we deal with when believers say one thing and do another?

I’m just thinkin’ on paper tonight.

Enough is enough…

Against such there is no law….

My personal frustration with America’s “wanna be” leadership has just been taken up another level.   I understand that our political choices are personal.  We all have a God-given right to support, vote for and eventually participate in the election of whomever we choose to lead our country.  As an American I fully support the election system we use and follow respectfully leadership that is moral and patriotic.  Like any other democratic process – we may not like the outcome but pledge our patriotic and democratic support to our future.  Party doesn’t matter to me at this very moment.  Rather we logo the current leadership of the White House with donkey or an elephant – right now I don’t care.  What I heard reported this morning would make any God-fearing citizen of America pretty upset…unless you just don’t care about integrity and American patriotism.  Obviously there are those who are connected with the White House who don’t care.   Their approval and demonstration of entertainment at the White House was for me…disgusting and gut wrenching.  I wanted to regurgitate.  Seriously.

Allowing an individual to entertain at the White House who has pretty much trashed what Americans and American military personnel represent is outrageous.  Every Democrat, Republican, Tea Party and Independent citizen ought to be outraged.  Had former President Bush allowed such – the Obama media regime would have had a hey day with it.  They would’ve been pushing for impeachment.  But our current status of media culture and world views surfaced without any opposition to what is being proposed as of this date.  Politicians and media groups alike are afraid to say anything negative about our current leadership in the White House.  They are afraid to oppose certain ideologies and demonstrations of anti-American support because of the political correctness of race, religion and obviously anti-American entertainment.   We are turning the White House into the Trash House.

 What has me so upset?  You wouldn’t have caught it on any of the networks who for some reason worship the current White House god.   (No scientific evidence of this statement – only making a media assumption.)   I saw this on Fox News.  I was sick when I heard this.

 The Korean Rapper named PSY has been invited to the White House to perform.  I am appalled.   As of my writing today, he has not been uninvited.  I don’t know who to make this comment toward…PSY or the White House personnel….”Out of the abundance of the heart the mouth will speak.”   This isn’t about political choices.  This is about integrity and character.  Neither PSY or anyone connected with him at the White House has either.    Let me bullet point what this rapper has done along with his Korean support.

  • once gave a performance in South Korea saying U.S. troops and their families should be slowly tortured and killed
  • during a 2002 concert for the cause of opposing the presence of 37,000 American troops in Korea, PSY raised up a miniature “American tank” and smashed it on the ground to massive positive response from the crowd
  • And then in 2004, a Korean missionary was captured in Iraq by Islamists who demanded that South Korea not send troops to aid America in the war in Iraq. Seoul refused to negotiate and the missionary was beheaded.
    Protesting began in Korea.  PSY and several other popular Korean musicians put on a live performance of a Korean rock band’s song “Dear American.” When PSY took his rotation in the song, he rapped:
  • Kill those f*cking Yankees who have been torturing Iraqi captives
  • Kill those f*cking Yankees who ordered them to torture
  • Kill their daughters, mothers, daughters-in-law and fathers
  • Kill them all slowly and painfully

Absolutely something to make you cringe…if you love America.

With all the talent America has to offer – the White House could go another route.  But then again out of the abundance of the heart the mouth will speak.  PSY and the White House has spoken as they have in the past.  The White House obviously has two sides of their political and religious mouth to speak from.  Talk about a lack of integrity.

Again, this is not about politics or political parties.  This is about character.  If I even entertained the though of having PSY at my church to perform in a concert – I would be railroaded out-of-town – by democrats and republicans alike.  Why?  Because of my choice of music?  No.  That’s personal.  I would be run out-of-town for even entertaining such anti-American ideology.   PSY doesn’t represent a political party.  He represents a lack of character on the American home front.  I would like to think that every American would feel the same.  We know by now that there are some at the White House who don’t think their anti-American arrogant socialist mindsets matters.  They are consumed with self satisfying ideologies that defy what America is about.

I wonder if our current administration would be warm and cozy toward such an anti-American attitude if some day their sons and daughters – who very well could be part of the American military – if the current administration doesn’t dismantle it piece by piece before they are old enough to serve!   I wonder if anyone at the White House would be troubled by someone saying the things that PSY has said about the military and America – if their children were serving in the American military.   Just a thought.  And to be honest…I don’t think those who serve the White House would change.  Arrogance and a lack of integrity seems to be their trademark.  And trademarks in life are like tattoos.   Even if you try to remove them or dress them over – they leave scars that still identify who you really are at heart.  Just a thought.

Legalizing Illegality – The Problem with Granting Drivers Licenses to Non-Citizens

I heard today that Illinois is considering allowing illegal aliens to get a driver’s license.  This infuriates me.   Before any of you get off on a high and mighty holier than Tim Teague attitude – let me comment – please.

I am not a racist.  I am a protectionist.  I believe the rights of every American citizen should be protected – period.  Our rights as citizens is slowly slipping away while the rights of “illegals” are gaining ground.  Something is wrong with this picture.  Politicians are more interested in gaining the votes of specific ethnic groups more than they are keeping a sense of purity in laws that protect American citizens.  Every politician who votes for legalizing drivers licenses or is offended when we have to present identification to vote should be be sent back home – defrocked of their political offices.

What is there about the term “illegal” that is so hard to understand? What is so difficult for whom we’re told are some of the most intelligent people we have in our government – our law makers – about the “illegal” to understand?   I don’t get it.

When we legally allow “illegal” aliens to pursue what the average American citizen has pursued the correct, difficult and sometimes challenging way – we are demoralizing the American citizen.  We are weakening the status of the term American citizen by legalizing illegality.

Let me say that if I were an “illegal” anything – do you think the court systems would give me – an American citizen – a break?  I don’t think so.   There are millions of American citizens who have processed themselves into the United States of American the right way…the legal way.   They come to the land of opportunity and freedom to pursue their dreams and ambitions just like any other “legal” citizen.   Their prosperity is founded on truth – legal truth.  When illegals are hired, licensed, and allowed to vote – we have demoralized the status of the American citizen.  How dare our politicians demoralize America for the sake of a few votes.  It sickens my stomach to think about it.

What will it take to wake up America?  What will it take to send a message to our politicians that we want a moral America?  Obviously the evangelical’s don’t get it.  Their pomp and pious attitudes that present themselves as self-righteous in the sight of the God they claim to serve didn’t work because they sat back on their back sides and refused to vote.  They can cry and scream all they want about the shape the county is in but they are religious bigots and hypocrites.  They are white washed tombs.   No more evangelicals voted in the 2012 election than did in the 2008 election.  Go figure.

Maybe there are venues of evangelical’s that need to buy stock in Kleenex so their whining and moaning will at least benefit some of them.

We are sending the wrong message to American citizens.  When we legalize illegality we are condoning breaking the law.  How stupid can we be?  How stupid can our politicians be?   When illegal aliens break the law – how do we tell them they have done so?  Law?  What is law?  When an illegal alien drives drunk and kills another human being – more than likely a citizen – how to you tell him he broke the law?  Law?  What law?  We legalized his being here illegally and now we are going to charge him with breaking the law?  We are sending asinine messages to this nation about what is legal and illegal.

Get a life people.  Someone once said the definition of a politic is from two words.  Poly which means many and “tick” which means blood sucker.  You figure it out.  Or you can call someone in political office who doesn’t know the difference in the terms “legal” and “illegal.”  Maybe they can help you since they’re in the helping “illegal citizens” business.

The Confusion of Babylon – Homosexuality

This may not be a popular journal today. The big issue of Romney and Obama over the homosexual issue is taking charge in the media. Of course our President, Mr. Obama has publicly stated his support of “same sex marriage” which within itself is an oxymoron. But consider the source and the picture is clear. Obviously the inexperience of President Obama not only shows in his political leadership but also in his understanding of human anatomy.

How can such intelligent people attach themselves to something so ridiculously stupid? I guess ignorance is bliss. This is a no-brainer for most of America. The majority of American men and women oppose same sex marriages. Over thirty states have define marriage as between a man and a woman. Only those who favor some sort of perversion would entertain the idea of “same sex marriage.” Let’s think about this for a moment. Even if you step away from the scriptural mandates of marriage being between a man and a woman – there is the clear and natural equipping of the human body. Pardon my pun here but it really is a nuts and bolts issue. The “plumbing” that God created us with wasn’t made for anything near “same sex marriage.” I don’t know why the simplicity of this issue is so hard to understand. You can’t buy a Big Mac at Burger King. You can’t buy a Chevrolet at a Ford dealer. You can’t mix and match a man with a man and a woman with a woman. It doesn’t work. It just doesn’t work. Why is this so hard to understand?

I think I can partially answer this question. It’s hard for me understand when people of the “same sex” persuasion accept perversion over creation. I reach back several thousand years to the attempt to build the tower of Babel. The motivation (Genesis 11.14) behind the “Babel Tower Movement” was to make a name for themselves. It was about self. We have become a nation that has blindly gotten behind a narcissistic group of leaders that has focused on nothing more than themselves. They have made a career out of enhancing the “entitlement” generation. For homosexuals and lesbians the motivation is obviously – self. The entire focus of real love for another mate or spouse is the “other” and not ourselves. I don’t love my wife for me – I love her for her. Those who would attempt to pervert the creation of God by entertaining “same sex marriages” are taking out of context what God created for a man, a woman and for the institution of marriage. Babel means “confusion”.

I am going to be nice and politically correct today and excuse any perverted ideology of marriage as simply “confusion”.  A man has to be confused with who he is if he is chasing another man. A woman has to be confused with who she is if she is chasing after another woman. Honestly – there is something drastically wrong with their understanding of men and women – and all the plumbing attached to each. Folks this is real simple….it just won’t work any other way but God’s way.

I am appalled at the President’s support for same sex marriage. It is once again proven that convictions that are tied to scripture do not belong to everyone who claims to be a Christian. For the President maybe some Bible 101 courses on human anatomy and the simplicity of creation would be sufficient for him to grasp the idea that a man cannot marry a man nor a woman a woman. They can have a perverted relationship that involves sexual behavior but they cannot be “married” with the intent of Scripture.  Marriage is between one man and one woman. Simple. Why is there a minority of America who wishes to convince us of any thing else?  This isn’t about “marriage”.  It’s about hiding homosexuality behind the cover of marriage.  Sorry…same sex marriage is about perversion – not marriage as Scripture defines it.  Do we really have to bring up the Adam and Eve not Adam and Steve idea again?
